M V George is a principal consultant at Draft and Code, bringing in a unique blend of expertise, insight and integrity to the firm. He is a distinguished legal professional with an esteemed background in both advocacy and judiciary spanning over many decades. His journey within the legal fraternity commenced as a practicing advocate who was soon propelled to the esteemed Kerala Judicial Service. Having served as a Judicial Magistrate, Munsiff, Sub Judge, Chief Judicial Magistrate and a District and Sessions Judge, he has amassed unparallel experience and knowledge within the realm of law.
Post the completion of his service as a judicial officer, he seamlessly transitioned into the role of a legal consultant and teacher imparting wisdom to advocates as well as students. He has presided over several Lok Adalats and mediation proceedings organised by the Kerala legal Service Authority, fostering accessible and efficient dispute resolution mechanisms to the society. He is frequently appointed as a panel arbitrator by the honourable High Court of Kerala and conciliator under Kerala Mediation Centre. As an arbitrator, he has adjudicated and resolved matters involving complex questions and private/government parties including the Indian Railway, Kerala State Electricity Board, Central Public Works Department and various other private entities. His role as an arbitrator/conciliator has played a pivotal role in resolving disputes and intricate questions in several matters.
His proficiency extends to drafting intricate contracts, crafting persuasive pleadings, providing astute legal counsel and facilitating constructive mediation sessions. His invaluable association with Draft and Code has inspired and enlightened our professionals ever since, serving as light of excellence and mastery.
